'Serpent' is an early
mechanical sound sculpture. A coiled steel snake clenches and snaps it's jaws
at the figure of a woman on top of a pink, circular 'music box'.
The lid of
the box rotates and drags steel picks across the tuned sound boards inside
the box, producing musical sounds. The mechanical doll, atop of the 'music
box', shakes her hips and defends herself form the snake with a small screwdriver.
